In episode 13 of The BOOM Podcast, motivational speaker and Amazon bestselling author Jeff Yalden laid out his upcoming The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose.

We provided you with an overview of week one in the last Jeff Yalden blog post.

The 28-Day BOOM Boot Camp is the perfect companion to Yalden’s Amazon bestseller, BOOM! One Word to Inspire Action, Deliver Rewards, and Positively Affect Your Life Every Day – offering up daily steps to bring you closer to your BOOM life.

For those of you who have been following along, you are now ready to embark on week two.

If you have completed week one, here’s your overview for week two. Do not skip ahead. It is important to follow Jeff’s instructions step-by step.

“If you implement the strategies that I share with you, I promise that your life will change,” said Yalden.

Think of the 28-Day BOOM Boot Camp as the blueprint for the life you and only you can create – if you are willing to take full responsibility for your life up to this point.

Dreams don’t work. Plans do.

Let’s get going.

DAY EIGHT: Patience in the Process.

Don’t give up. When you’re tired, you continue. Progress every day.

Jeff said that it’s takes two seconds to make a bad choice and some 30 years to make up for that bad choice.

“Remember that. Just be patient. Don’t give up. Stay focused. You’ve got the plan written down. Stay focused on the plan,” he said.

After Jeff underwent weight-loss surgery, he was astonished that in the first three months following the procedure, he had only lost four pounds.

“But in those three months, I had my measurements done. Although I only lost four pounds, I lost 10.25 inches. Here’s the deal: Oftentimes we want success overnight. Success doesn’t happen overnight. Success happens when we grind every day, we stay focused and we’re patient in the process. We work our plan.”

Be patient, and don’t give up.

DAY NUMBER 9: What you can do versus asking for help.

It’s OK to ask for help.

“Oftentimes, we just want to do it ourselves. The reality is that very few people achieve any level of success by themselves. Who are you willing to ask for help? Family? Your significant other? Friends?

If you are afraid to ask for help, you are going to watch other people pass you by.”

Jeff says we can do a lot by ourselves, but we can do more when we have help.

“Identify the tasks that you can do alone by yourself, and then ask the question: Do you need to ask for help?”

DAY NUMBER 10: No Excuses

Get it done.

Getting it done is better than getting it perfect. Get it done by going all-in and as you get it done – perfection will happen. It’s time to execute.

“Listen, one of my goals is to continue my journey in health,” he said. “I’ve got to get 25 workouts in this month. I fly out of town tomorrow morning at 9:30. I am waking up tomorrow morning at 5:15 and going to the gym. Time to execute. Get it done.”

You might be tired right now, but don’t stop short of your goals. Become the three percent of people who write down their goals and execute their plans.

DAY NUMBER 11 – Grind Through It. That’s it.

The moment you want to quit, commit. Grind through it. Are you a victim or are you a victor?

Are you angry? Are you bitter? Or do you want to become better?

“Grind. I promise you that your network of friends is not grinding.”

DAY NUMBER 12 – Remember: SMART: Simple. Measurable. Attainable. Relatable. Timely.

If you have to rewrite your plan so that it is a little simpler, rewrite your plan.

“It’s OK. Your plan can change, so go back over everything and write down what you plan on getting – what you plan on being – and plan on happening.

Go back through your plan. Simplify if necessary. Discard whatever is not in line with your goals – and keep grinding.

Day Number 13 – Make Adjustments. Rewrite the Plan Specifically and in Detail.

Be clear about exactly what you want. Be as specific as you can envision. Rewrite your plan to exactly what you see in your future.

“Remember what I said in day number 3 about getting specific? You want that that brand new black four-door Jeep soft top with big jacked-up tires? You want a winch on the Jeep and a rear bumper? You want big honkin’ tires? You see what I am saying here.”

Drill down on your plan and get really specific.

DAY NUMBER 14 – Turn Up the BOOM!

Turn it up a notch. Turn it up 10 percent.

“What you invest, you get in return. Commit further. Turn it up. What are your efforts versus your expectations?”

Yalden said greatness happens in life when you choose to put this down on paper and don’t just have a dream. Have a plan and work that plan.

“I want you do be that three percent that now puts it on paper. Read it every single day and you start to execute it now. Don’t wait. Take action.”

Action comes from your motivation. Motivation. Action. Results. BOOM! Repeat.

“Get up every morning. Brush your teeth, wash your face, do your dance and kick it,” Yalden said.

It’s not more complicated than that.
