Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Podcast: Day 14

September 21, 2017 by Roger Yale

Youth motivational speaker and Amazon bestselling author Jeff Yalden recorded Episode 28 of The BOOM Podcast as he was getting ready to fly out to speaking gigs in St. Louis, Missouri and Harrisburg, Illinois. He began by giving a huge shout-out to a few people in his close circle of friends for coming to the aid of his fiancée Janet’s 91-year-old mother, who had suffered a fall while the pair were out on their boat on Labor Day. “We had to reach out to a couple of friends that were able to get there within minutes, and I can’t thank them enough,” he said. Yalden added that relationships are like a bank account. What you invest in it emotionally, you can take back out. “Remember that about relationships. Bring the BOOM every single day to your close circle, your trusted confidants and the people that you admire, respect and you trust with your life,” he said. “There is going to come a day when you’ve got to pull that back out.” Yalden has been laying out daily principles of his brand-new workbook and planner, The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose. Over the past few days on The BOOM Podcast, Yalden talked about rewriting your plan, SMART Goals and making adjustments. The BOOM Boot Camp is the perfect companion to Yalden’s Amazon bestselling book, BOOM! One Word to Inspire Action, Deliver Rewards, and Positively Affect Your Life Every Day. The BOOM principles can change your life, but you must be committed to putting in the work necessary to make your plan a reality. If you have been taking action on these steps, you are now ready for Day 14:

TURN UP THE BOOM!

What you invest you get in return. Commit further. Turn it up

What are you investing in? “You invest in your car. You invest in education. But some of the important things that need to be invested in, we don’t make a priority,” he said. Your NUMBER ONE INVESTMENT PRIORITY should be to INVEST IN YOURSELF. If you invest in yourself, you will find that you are more able to then invest in your family and in your close circle of trusted friends. Contrary to what you might think, investing in yourself is far from selfish. “Self-care – investing in yourself – is probably one of the greatest things that you can do,” said Yalden. “After you take care of this, you now feel more apt to be able to reach out to others. You have more energy and more patience. You can be more present – more engaging and inspiring to other people.” And as you turn up the BOOM – make sure that your efforts line up with your expectations. “Do you expect great success? What do your efforts look like? Are you expecting great success from someone that’s grinding 50 hours a week, yet you are only putting in three hours a day? Your expectation is too high and is going to lead to great disappointment.” Does your effort match the result that you are expecting? “When I say turn up the BOOM, what I am saying is to ‘bring it’ every day. Bring time management. Bring your organizational skills. Bring your to-do list, and bring being present every single day.” Take personal responsibility for the little things. When we take care of the little things, the bigger things start to happen. “My friends – Turn up the BOOM. You can do it. Today is the day. Recommit. Take action. Be motivated. Be present – and most of all,  be awesome!” Find out why Jeff Yalden is North America’s Number One Youth Motivational Speaker. Go HERE. Jeff’s speaking calendar fills up fast. Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp: Day 13

September 20, 2017 by Roger Yale

If you have been following The BOOM Podcast, you already know that youth motivational speaker and Amazon bestselling author Jeff Yalden has been laying out the daily steps on his new workbook The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose.
“I am really trying to spell this out and make it as simple as possible, and excuse the term – I am trying to idiot-proof it for the people that have trouble refocusing, staying on a plan, creating a plan and staying consistent every single day,” Yalden said, adding that he wants you to go at your own pace. Yesterday, the message was all about SMART Goals, and Yalden talked about a book written by a friend of his, speaker and author Jake Ballentine. “I encourage you to read Your Number One Goal: Very well-written – very simple – and just really inspiring,” he said. The BOOM Boot Camp workbook contains actionable messages based on Yalden’s Amazon bestseller, BOOM! One Word to Inspire Action, Deliver Rewards, and Positively Affect Your Life Every Day. In Episode 27 of the BOOM Podcast, Yalden lays out his BOOM principle for Day 13:

MAKE ADJUSTMENTS

Go back over your plan. Do you see it? Are you able to feel it? When you look at your plan, is it doable? Can you manage your life and fulfill making this plan happen? Only you can answer that. “If you are at a point where maybe it’s a little overwhelming – rewrite your plan.” Remember: This is not about perfection. It’s about progress. “This is about you,” said Yalden. “This isn’t about me. This isn’t about your friends. This is about you. The workbook says 28 Days, but if it takes you two months, don’t worry about it.” Yalden wanted to let you in on a little secret. He said probably 10 percent of the people that buy this book will actually finish it. “If it takes you two months to create a plan – to have a goal and to achieve that goal – then you are better off than 90 percent of the people that buy the book with all the intentions in the world but never finish it,” he said. Do this on your own terms and at your own pace. Rewrite your plan if you need to. “If you have to go back to Day One and redo this all because now you are starting to feel it – now it’s starting to mean something to you – then stop everything and go back to Day One. When you go back, I want you to commit to doing it. And if Day One takes you two days or three days to do it – I’m OK with that.” But don’t go on to Day Two until you are sure you are ready. Maybe something happened to you yesterday and you need to refocus. Perhaps this new something is a priority. It’s OK to create a new goal. “Whatever that might be, don’t get discouraged. Don’t be disappointed,” he said. “It’s one day at a time, but every single day, focus on where you are going – not where you have been.” “It’s one day at a time – but every single day, you focus on where you are going, not where you’ve been. No matter what happens in our lives, we’re not victims. We rise up. We are victors.” Adopt a new mindset and leave anger and bitterness behind – no matter what happens – and choose gratitude instead. “I want you to start saying ‘thank you.’ Life does not happen to you. Life every day happens for you. Everything we go through, everything we encounter, every obstacle we face or every mountain we climb – whether it’s good or it’s bad – everything shapes us. Everything teaches us.” Learn from your mistakes. Reevaluate your situation daily. Take time for you. Self-care is not selfish. “If you are going to go back to Day One, I still want you to take some time today to reevaluate and reassess your situation.” Find out why Jeff Yalden is North America’s Number One Youth Motivational Speaker. Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp: Day 12

September 19, 2017 by Roger Yale

We hope you have been taking daily action on the principles laid out by motivational speaker and Amazon bestselling author Jeff Yalden in his brand-new workbook and planner, The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose.
“If you are jumping in just to see what I’m saying, that’s fine – but if you go in half-assed, you are going to get half-assed results. That’s the bottom line,” said Yalden. Go back and look at the previous daily assignments. Let the principles sink in. You must put in the daily work to be truly effective in this program. “Everybody wishes that they were successful,” he said. “Everybody has a dream – but dreams don’t work, my friends. Putting a plan in place and working that plan every day is going to take you to achieve these goals.” If it was easy, everybody would be doing it, according to Yalden. STOP here and review everything from Day One through Day 11. Now you are ready to tackle Day 12:

SMART Goals

Your plan should be SIMPLE, MEASURABLE, ATTAINABLE, RELEVANT and TIMELY. “Have you put goals in place to achieve what you need to do? Am I making sense?” In this episode of The BOOM Podcast, Jeff talked about his friend, author and speaker Jake Ballentine, author of Your Number One Goal [Listen to their earlier conversation in Episode 4]. Ballentine had a goal to run a 5K in under 30 minutes – a SIMPLE and MEASURABLE goal. “He would run every single day and measured his success. He knew where he had to go,” Jeff said, adding that this goal was ATTAINABLE and RELEVANT. Ballentine’s “why” was stronger than his excuses, and this was also TIMELY – he had given himself a timeframe in which to accomplish this. Ballentine did it. What are your goals? What is your plan? “Put the goals in place to achieve the plan, whether it’s a three-month goal, a six-month goal, a one-year goal or a five-year goal. Have a goal in place to achieve that plan, which comes as a result of your dream.,” Yalden said. Remember: Life is not a race. Life is a journey – and we are all on our own paths. Remember:  SMART Goals: “You take the dream out of your head. You put it down on paper. Now you have a plan. You re-engineer yourself as if you have already achieved it, and you work from that point backwards. You set a goal to achieve the plan. Is the goal SIMPLE? Is it MEASURABLE? Can you do it – is it ATTAINABLE? Do you feel in your heart that you can definitely do that? Is it RELEVANT? Is your ‘why’ greater than your excuses – and lastly, is it TIMELY?” Do you have a set time in which you can allocate every single day to focusing on your goal? If you haven’t done the last eleven days, go back and do it. “Get off your ass. I’m sorry if that offended you. Get off your ass and start making progress. Not perfection, but progress – and do it every single day.” Find out why Jeff Yalden is North America’s Number One Youth Motivational Speaker. Go HERE. Jeff’s speaking calendar fills up fast. Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp – Day 11

September 18, 2017 by Roger Yale

Youth motivational speaker and author Jeff Yalden is stoked about the principles in his brand-new workbook, The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose. If put the daily principles to work, your life will change – and he has been laying out each step right here.
But Jeff can’t do the work for you. Only you can do that. The impactful information found in The Boot Camp workbook is based on Jeff’s Amazon bestseller, BOOM! One Word to Inspire Action, Deliver Rewards, and Positively Affect Your Life Every Day. Use these together and you have an actionable framework for taking ownership of your life.  You are ready. Here is Day 11 – from Episode 24 of The BOOM Podcast:

 GRIND THROUGH IT

If you are follow Jeff, you might notice you have heard those words before – and you are probably going to hear them again. “Sometimes we get to a point where everything is going well: We are working really hard, contacting people and rewriting our plan – and then we get a little bit complacent or an interruption comes and we have to put our energies on something else,” he said. You might realize that you have missed a day in the Boot Camp. “Listen – if you missed a day, don’t worry about it. If you did Day 10 and two days later, you are back here at Day 11 – it not a problem. Remember what I say: Life is not a race. It’s a journey – and we are all on our own journeys.” A perfect example of grinding through it comes directly from Jeff’s life. He recorded this episode two days after experiencing an incident that he says really affected his spirits and set him back a bit. The following day, he had to be at his best. “The bottom line is that on Tuesday when I woke up, I had to get into my routine. I had to be more powerful on that day because I had to put Monday behind me and make Tuesday an epically awesome day.” He succeeded. According to Jeff, there are two areas where he believes Grinding Through It is really important:
  • MENTALLY
No matter what you are dealing with and no matter what you are going through, it’s going to be OK. “You have to wake up every day – brush your teeth, wash your face, do your dance – walk out the door and get your head right. Put yesterday behind you. You look out the windshield, not the rear-view mirror. Yesterday is not going to change. You can’t change yesterday, but you can choose today.” Value yourself. Your attitude and choices are most important.
  • PHYSICALLY
“This is called courage. Mental courage and physical courage. ‘I CAN do it. I AM going to do it.” Remember the BOOM. Bring the BOOM back into your life when you are grinding through it. “The BOOM is a factor. You have five seconds to bring that BOOM factor into your life and take action. If you don’t do it within five seconds, that brain-housing group kind of shuts down and you are like – I’m not going to do it.’” Don’t shut down. Don’t not do it. BOOM! Get up. Do it! BOOM is also an effect. “Today, when you do something and you are like, ‘I did it. I accomplished it. I put that behind me. I grinded through it.’ Give yourself the BOOM effect as a reward.” No matter what you are doing, Grind Through It. “It’s starting to get deep, my friends. Make it happen!” Find out why Jeff Yalden is North America’s Number One Youth Motivational Speaker. Go HERE. Jeff’s speaking calendar fills up fast. Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp: Day 10

September 18, 2017 by Roger Yale

Speaker and Amazon bestselling author Jeff Yalden has been laying out daily, actionable messages in his brand-new workbook, The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose.
Jeff has promised that your life will change if you put the principles to work every single day. But you must be willing to put in the work. This 28-Day Boot Camp the perfect companion to Jeff’s Amazon bestseller, BOOM! One Word to Inspire Action, Deliver Rewards, and Positively Affect Your Life Every Day. It’s time to execute on Day 10:

NO EXCUSES! GET IT DONE!

Yalden spoke to us in this episode of The BOOM Podcast from his rental car on a three-hour drive to Maine. The previous day was, let’s just say, less than stellar by any means. “Yesterday I had a bad day, but when I say, ‘no excuses – you’ve got to get it done,’ I can’t continue to live in what happened yesterday,” he said. “I can’t continue letting yesterday affect me.” Jeff said he had to get his mind right and realize that today is a new day. “It’s a new opportunity. It’s new students. It’s new teachers. It’s new parents. Here I am north of Portland, Maine. No excuses. Let it go. Move forward.” If you have done the work and gone through Day One through Day Nine, you might be arriving at Day 10 feeling a little bit overwhelmed. “There is so much on your plate. You’ve got the bills. You’ve got friends, sports – your marriage – you’ve got your job. You’ve got this, you’ve got that.  I’m no different from you. Everybody else has the same responsibilities. But the bottom line is: Let’s stop making excuses. We have to get it done.” This is not about perfection. It’s about progress, according to Yalden. “Every single day, we are trying to make today better than it was yesterday. We are trying to make tomorrow better than today.” Do you have to create more time in your day? “If it’s important to you, you will maybe get up a little bit earlier. If it’s important to you, you will really focus on your tasks and your time management. If it’s important to you, then you will make it happen.” Is your plan important enough to you to say no to something else?  No to going out to dinner? No to spending so much time on social media platforms? “If it’s important to you, you will find the time,” Yalden said. “You will make the time.” If you make the time now to focus on your plan, you will have time to enjoy the fruits of your efforts later. Yalden is a big believer in the magic of the acronym, WIN, or What’s Important Now. “For me, WIN is that I let yesterday be yesterday. I get my head right, because I have a new day. Maybe that’s similar to you as well. Maybe you didn’t have such a great day yesterday, but you woke up this morning – you washed your face, brushed your teeth and did your dance – and you went out and kicked it, just like I have to do – and just like all of our friends and family have to do. We are not victims. We are victors. We are not to be bitter and angry. We are to choose every day to become better.” No Excuses! Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp: Day Nine

September 17, 2017 by Roger Yale

The principles in The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose will change your life, but only you can do the work.
Speaker and Amazon bestselling author Jeff Yalden continues his daily, actionable messages with Day Nine:

WHAT YOU CAN DO VERSUS ASKING FOR HELP

“I think many of us are really stubborn in wanting to ask for help,” said Yalden in Episode 22 of The BOOM Podcast. “We don’t want to admit that we might need help, and therefore we try to do everything by ourselves.” Your mission today is to look at the tasks on your to-do list and break them down into the following categories:
  • Items you can complete by yourself.
  • Items you can delegate as a leader.
  • Items that require asking for help
“I don’t want you to be afraid to ask for help,” Yalden said, and offered a simple example having to do with his Jeep: “Recently something happened with the radio. I’m not a very strong mechanical or electrical guy. I was going to bring drop off the Jeep at some audio place and have the work done there – and they probably would have charged me five or six hundred bucks.” It turns out that Jeff has a friend with a nice garage with all the tools he needs and plenty of experience. After Jeff explained the situation, his friend told him to bring the Jeep on over. “I am not embarrassed to say I don’t know what to do,” he said, adding that they pulled the radio out, tested electrical current wires and finally decided that he needed a new radio. Yalden said he learned a little bit, but his friend installed the radio. Problem solved, and this is just an example of asking for help when you need help. What if this had to do with your mental health? Let’s say you are struggling with anxiety, depression or just feeling blah: “Make an appointment. Go talk to your doctor. You are feeling something, and you don’t know if this is something that is situational or something that is behavioral. You don’t know if this is dysthymia – which is a low-level depression – where a lot of people might have depression, but they don’t even know it,” Yalden said. Help is everywhere, but you need to take the first step and ask for it. When you ask for help, you free yourself up for so many other things. Whether it’s help from a mental health professional or a friend helping you move – you will often be surprised that getting the help you need is much easier than you might have imagined. Let’s say you need a design or a logo. Chances are good that you already know a graphic designer. “Instead of you learning how to do this, reach out to someone. You might have to pay them a little bit – but learn to delegate where you need to delegate. Learn to do the things that only you can do that makes you the most money and saves you the most time. You have a plan written down. There are things that you can accomplish on your own, but there are other areas where you might need help. What can you do by yourself and when should you be asking for help? Are you asking for help? Find out why Jeff Yalden is North America’s Number One Youth Motivational Speaker. Go HERE. Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp: Day Eight

September 15, 2017 by Roger Yale

Yesterday, speaker and author Jeff Yalden drilled down on Day Seven of The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose.  Jeff talked about going over everything laid out in the past week, and making the commitment to go all-in with your plan. Did you do that? Did you commit? If you didn’t commit – stop and go back now.  If you are all-in, you are ready to proceed.

DAY EIGHT: PATIENCE IN THE PROCESS

“I don’t want you to be overwhelmed,” Yalden said. “Remember: This is about one goal, one task. It’s about that one decision – so today you are going to think to yourself, ‘I am going to be patient.’” Jeff has long believed “overnight success” takes between 15 and 20 years to achieve. “One of the problems is that many of us have a sense of entitlement, thinking the world maybe owes us something. The world owes you nothing. Your mom and dad don’t owe you anything other than maybe shelter, food, covers – and hopefully unconditional love. But I know many people who don’t even have that.” We need to create our own success and our own opportunities – and the results can be far from immediate, according to Jeff. “The little things we do today – over and over – become bigger and stronger and more fulfilling later. You don’t show up at work on a Monday and get paid so you go work Monday through Friday. You work Monday through Friday. You get paid hopefully the end of the week – but most likely the next Friday.” Be patient. Work the program. “That’s one of the biggest things. You have to work it every single day,” he said. “I don’t want you to give up when you are getting frustrated or getting tired. I want you to continue. Remember:  It’s patience in the process – but it’s also progress every single day.” Be better be better today than you were yesterday. Be better tomorrow than you were today. Make progress every day. Jeff often talks about a three-point process when it comes to patience.
  • Self-Value: Believe that you can achieve whatever you are going for.
  • Attitude: A little thing that makes a big difference.
  • Choices: It takes 2 seconds to make a bad choice and some 30 years to make up for that bad choice. Make the right choices every day.
In his Amazon bestseller, BOOM! One Word to Inspire Action, Deliver Rewards, and Positively Affect Your Life Every Day, Jeff said that BOOM is a Factor and an Effect.  “If you are suffering from laziness or a lack of motivation, like, ‘I don’t want to get up,’ BOOM is a factor,” he said. “Basically, you have five seconds for the brain to switch to say, ‘OK – I’m going to do it.’ If you don’t take action in that five seconds, the brain kicks in and says, ‘you know what? I’m not going to do it.’” BOOM is the factor that gets you going. “BOOM is also an effect.  ‘BOOM! I did it.’ BOOM! Reward.” Have Patience in the Process. Don’t give up. Keep working hard. One Word to Inspire Action, Deliver Rewards, and Positively Affect Your Life Every Day.  With a compelling layout offering calendar and note space as well as actionable, daily principles pulled directly from BOOM, The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp will change your life – but ONLY if you are willing to put in the work.
In Episode 20 of The BOOM Podcast, Jeff continues his daily messages, drilling down on the steps you need to take to own your life. Today, Jeff comes to you from the rural town of Paris, Arkansas. If you are a regular reader of this blog or if you follow Jeff in other ways, you already know that he is a strong advocate for mental health because he also struggles at times with mental health issues such as major depression and PTSD. When he recorded this podcast episode, he said he was dealing with some personal issues – and this might have come through in the tone of his voice. “Within our four walls, life is not perfect. Life will never be perfect, and we all deal with something,” he said. “In many of our families, we deal with struggles and financial hardship, divorce or blended families. We deal with addiction or we deal with mental illness. But regardless of what we deal with in life, you’ve got to pick yourself up.” In Jeff’s case, picking himself up meant getting ready for a big day, including speaking to two high schools, meeting with teachers and being present for a parent and community program. “Regardless of what I am going through, I’ve got to do my routine and put what I am going through off to the side. I have got to function – just like you do,” he said. When you fall, you pick yourself up.

DAY SEVEN: BOOM! GO ALL-IN

Look back at the past week, and make the decision to go all-in. No excuses. “Today is the day where you go back and do the work that you didn’t fully do,” Yalden said. Remember: Successful people are no smarter than you are. “Successful people do the things that other people aren’t willing to do. They are more detail oriented. They don’t cut corners. They go all-in.” Today is the day that you make that decision again. “You’ve written the plan. You’ve come up with the steps it takes to achieve the plan. Are you all-in? Listen, I can’t do it for you. You have to make the decision that you are all-in – or it’s not that important to you.” If your plan is not important enough for you to commit to, find something else that is more relatable, according to Jeff. “I want you to be at the point to today that you have decided to go all-in on the plan you’ve written down. You see it. You smell it. You feel it. You can taste it. You can hear it. If you can’t do any of that, stop everything right now. Go back to day one.” Going back is not a bad thing. Find something that really moves you – something that compels you to get up in the morning, ready to jump out of bed and get started. “Life is not a race,” Jeff said, “Life is a journey. Right now, we’re helping each other out and regrouping a little bit. There is no magic pill. Hard work is hard work. Commitment is commitment. Responsibilities and obligations before rights and privileges. If it’s important to you, you will find a way.” Go all-in. Find out more about Jeff Yalden by clicking HERE. Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp: Day Six

September 13, 2017 by Roger Yale

For Episode 19 of The BOOM Podcast, motivational speaker and Amazon bestselling author Jeff Yalden comes to us from Omaha, Nebraska – and before heading in to a speaking engagement there, laid out Day Six of his brand-new workbook The BOOM 28 Day Boot Camp: Creating a Life of Success. Find Motivation. Crush Goals. Overcome Obstacles. Live with Purpose.
Day Five was all about the importance of reading your plan out loud at least three times a day. If you follow Jeff’s daily principles, your life will change – but only you can put in the work. “Don’t go half-assed,” Yalden said. “If you work with half-assed effort, you are going to get half the results you are looking for.”

DAY SIX: Create a Plan of Action

Create a step-by-step approach for how you are going to achieve your goal. Jeff used the example of paying off a credit card. “Let’s that you have a credit card with a $6500 balance on it. It has been lingering out there for two years and you want to get rid of it. You know what? We all wish we could get rid of our debt – but for some, it’s easier than others,” he said, adding that it’s not necessarily because some people make more money than others. “I can see how that would certainly impact you being able to pay more on your credit card, but the bottom line is this: Those who put the plan into action are the ones who will achieve the results a lot sooner than those that don’t have a plan of action.” He suggested setting a SMART plan of action to get rid of this debt. “What is a simple, measurable, attainable, relatable and what is a timely goal for you to be able to accomplish this? Maybe one year is too short of a time frame. Let’s say we set it up for 18 months. Can you swing about $360 a month? If it’s important to you, you probably can,” he said. Committing to a payment plan like this, you might have to skip your visits to Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks a few times a week. You will save time and money by making your morning drink at home. “Maybe you don’t go out to eat as much, or maybe you stop ordering alcohol when you go out to eat, which takes the bill from here to – WHOA! – See what I’m saying?” What is important to you? Create a plan of attack to achieve your goal. Incentivizing the process can work wonders too. Do you want to lose 15 pounds? Jeff knows a lady who is a huge fan of Ellen DeGeneres. Her husband told her that if she lost x amount of weight in x amount of time, he would pay for her trip to see a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. This proved to be a strong incentive. And she did it. For those of you who decided to pursue two or three different goals, it’s time to rethink that approach, according to Yalden. “That can be overwhelming,” he said. “Just pick one, whatever that might be. Embrace the process. Engage in the grind. I want you to spend today writing a plan of attack. I want you to engineer this process, working backwards from the end result.” What will it take for you to achieve your goal? Create your plan of action now. Drilling Down on The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp: Day Five

September 12, 2017 by Roger Yale

We hope you have been taking action on the daily principles laid out by motivational speaker and author, Jeff Yalden.
His brand-new workbook, The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp, is the perfect companion to Yalden’s Amazon bestseller, BOOM! One Word to Inspire Action, Deliver Rewards, and Positively Affect Your Life Every Day. These books can change your life – but you have to be willing to do the work. To make sure as many people as possible have access to this life-changing information, Jeff is giving it away for free on multiple channels, including his BLOG and The BOOM Podcast. Day Number Four was about sharing your plan with three people from your close circle and creating your own Mastermind Group. “From that Mastermind Group, you are sharing and maybe they are going to start sharing. Now you have a group that is holding you accountable,” Yalden said, adding that this group can be considered your accountability buddies. In Day Three, Jeff used the example of The Jeep. If you want a new Jeep – you’ve got to be really specific about model, size, color and options. “I want you to be really specific in what you want in life,” he said. “Inside your head, when you visualize something you want – what exactly are the details? What are those little things that you see in the vision? The details are very important when writing down what you want.” DAY NUMBER FIVE: READ YOUR PLAN OUT LOUD THREE TIMES PER DAY “Where is your plan? Is it in your phone? Is it thumb-tacked by your bedside? Is it in your bathroom? Is it on the mirror? Where is it? I bet you are probably saying, ‘Oh, Jeff – I have it, but I am just kind of listening to the message. I didn’t really put it anywhere.’ That’s not good enough,” Yalden said we all have a dream, but very few people are willing to do the work to bring that dream to fruition. “It’s all in the details,” he said. Dreams don’t work. Having a plan does. Here is your assignment for Day Number 5: “I want this to be a part of your routine:  When you get up in the morning – you are meditating because you want to reduce the anxiety – you want to own this day – you want to envision the success of this day.” Breathe: Inhale peace. Exhale love. “I want you to read that vision. I want you to read what you put down on paper – the plan.” Do this at least three times a day. “Carry your plan with you. Put it on paper. Put it in your phone. Set reminders in your calendar for at least three times a day: ‘My Plan – BOOM – let me check it.’” When you read your plan, Yalden said he wants you to be able to feel it and taste it. “I know that you know what your plan is, but I want you to see it like it’s real – like you are getting hungry for this – and if you are not getting hungry or you don’t believe it, then it’s time to change your plan.” Important: It’s OK to rewrite your plan. “I am laying this out very simply. Day Number 5:  Review your plan and read it out loud at least three times a day. Not two times. Not one time. Not tomorrow. Take the time to do it. It’s that simple.” Find out more about Jeff Yalden by clicking HERE. LISTEN to this episode of The BOOM Podcast. SUBSCRIBE to The BOOM Podcast. GRAB your copy of The BOOM 28-Day Boot Camp Workbook.
